Barbara Schmidt is a Design Graduate of Fashion Institute of Technology, New York. 

After migrating to Australia she joined Artes Studios; in it's day the leading domestic and

 commercial design retailer and consultancy in the hemisphere. She worked as Head of

Design and Innovation for Pilkington Glass Australia and then created her own business,

Cite Office, specialising in the intersection of leading North American and European

design and the commercial workspace.  In 2008 she was invited to merge her business into

the Zenith Interiors / InteriorCo group and join in the role of Marketing and Design Manager.

She pioneered the businesses expansion into the Asian market with showrooms in Hong Kong,

Singapore and Shanghai. In 2018 she returned to the US and founded Dogwood Lane Design.
